Harvest of Heritage

I derive from
summer and sweet wine,
from broken glass
and fertile vine
I derive from
the bluest sea in the world,
also, from stardust
and from shore
from a vast dream
that fell apart,
yet later on,
it was found in my heart.
I derive from
ancient myths and tales,
I derive from
sirens and mermaids,
from wild herbs
that in the mountains live
and from fresh smells
that pleasure give
I derive from
sunsets, sand, and water
I derive from olive groves;
I am their daughter.

🌻Mary, just a soul scribbling stories in the language of poetry. Here, in my corner, I put life into words with a sprinkle of wanderlust.
