With Your Heart in Mine

I was completely lost 
within the night
when I found you
on the edge of midnight,
lost in a world of dreams

I secretly kissed you;
you barely felt it
You thought it was 
a kiss of the wind

You secretly smiled at me; 
I barely noticed
I thought it was 
the night smiling at me.

When the moon turned silver bright
on the edge of midnight,
you softly kissed me.

As the stars called our names,
I gently took your heart in mine
to guide you through 
the velvet night.
